Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 June 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ShapShap prepaid fibre internet service, website, and related services (“Service”). By signing up, connecting, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you are signing up on behalf of a household or business, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Prepaid Service
ShapShap provides uncapped prepaid internet access. Service is activated only after a valid voucher purchase and payment confirmation. There are no fixed-term contracts, debit orders, or recurring charges. All pricing is displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and includes VAT where applicable.
4. Vouchers & Refunds
Vouchers are valid for the duration stated at purchase (e.g., 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days). Unused time does not roll over once a voucher expires. Refunds are not provided for change of mind, but may be considered in cases of proven technical failure on our side.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service lawfully. Prohibited activities include: illegal content distribution, hacking, spamming, network abuse, or any activity that harms the network or other users. We may suspend or terminate access for violations without refund.
6. Equipment
The router and ONU supplied remain the property of ShapShap or its partners. They are provided on a free-to-use basis as part of the installation. You are responsible for reasonable care of the equipment. Lost or deliberately damaged equipment may incur a replacement fee.
7. Limitation of Liability
ShapShap provides the Service on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, to the extent permitted by South African law.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of South Africa.
